Warm wood tones in office decor
Warm wood tones are inviting and natural, making your office work more enjoyable. I will be doing a remodel of my office at some point in the future and wanted to update the look with neutral decor as well. The items that I purchased were of good quality and I liked them, so I got more. I have been happy with my purchases. There are a few of the warm wood tones items that I haven’t purchased yet as I am still looking for some other items to accompany them.
Planter in an interesting shape
I like the planter for the design of the pot and this aloe plant is a broader-leafed plant. Some of the fake aloe plants are smaller and don’t give a big presence of the outdoors that I prefer. Bringing living things into your home space is beautiful and uplifting, even though they are not real. I prefer nonreal plants in the office by the desk because then there is no water pouring around electronics or paper, etc. As you may have noticed I have a coffee in the mood board or finds, Do you think that could spill as well? You are correct it could, there is always a chance. Less of a chance than pouring it into something.
Japanese style with neutral tones for the office
The phone stand and the pencil stand have a bit of a Japanese look to them to me. I have gotten several compliments on it so far. I am happy with the sleek design. It is sturdy, even if it doesn’t look like it. It has never dropped the phone or gotten off balance. I have put the phone on it vertically and horizontally with no issues. Even watched a football game while working with it, while working on my laptop.
The pencil holder is in the same style as the phone stand. I also like the pens because they are still neutral but add a pop of color.
Keeping with the Japanese style, I found this beautiful laptop stand. It seems to have that Japanese puzzle style to me. Reasonably priced as are all the items in the picture. I am still looking for a mat that would go with this neutral decor in a reasonable price range of good quality. As I think these items all look great together, it needed something to warm it up a bit more.
Warming up the neutral tones of the office decor
Leather was the natural choice. It is warmer than the neutral tones that I choose in terms of color. I consider it a natural fabric (whether fake or not). Soft and durable material works great in an office. The color of the leather closely matches the detail work on the phone stand and pen holder. Thus, giving it a very cohesive look.
Sculpture
The sculpture will bring in a more modern look and could be used on top of books or small notebooks as a “paperweight”. It would also look beautiful on a shelf or bookcase. It is not big and that modern look will update the look of the other items in the office. Plus, it just brings me joy.
Items that are not a staple in office decor
Office decor doesn’t necessarily have to have a bulletin board but some do. I found these push pins in the same neutral decor colors so cute. They are in a container to keep them organized. Which now will lead me on a hunt for a linen cork or bulletin board.
Charging clock
This is the most neutral-looking charging color that I could find that looks high quality without the plastic-looking wood. The neutral charging clock is just a necessity. The cell phone has a clock and the computer has one as well, etc. It is not a necessity but I like the fact that the time is large and lit up and it charges the phone. It isn’t quite in with the look but it is under the neutral and looks great with any background (paint, wallpaper, or accent wall).
Bookmarks
Bookmarks may not be useful to some. I like corner bookmarks for books or journals. I don’t use them as much as I used to because I read more digital books now. We certainly don’t have as much paper use as we used to but there are times when you would prefer to use a bookmark with your journals or if you print out items.
Coffee
Yes, the coffee looks great on this board, but there is another reason. I found some of those metal stencils to use with your coffee. Those stencils may be fun to play with to see what designs could be made. Learning is growing and pathways we can open up by learning as we get older is a win for me. We seem to stay in our comfort zones as we age but when we were young are brains were always learning new things.
I hope you are inspired to make your office decor more inviting and calming. Or just incorporate what you like into your kaleidoscope.
