Welcome to my wonderland
Welcome to my Wonderland of beauty products, some are glorious and some are not so. I love calling it my wonderland or my vanity vault because there are a lot of things to discover. It is dazzling, overflowing treasure trove of beauty products that would make even the most seasoned makeup artist swoon. What started as a modest collection has blossomed into a full-blown obsession, a kaleidoscope of colors, textures, and scents that now spills from drawers, shelves, and mirrored trays like a glamorous avalanche.
From shimmering highlighters to velvety matte lipsticks, my collection is a celebration of indulgence. There’s something magical about having options — not just a pink or neutral lipstick, but twelve shades of pink or neutral, each with its own mood and moment. My skincare shelf alone is a testament to curiosity and hope: serums that promise radiance, creams that whisper of eternal youth, and masks that feel like a spa day in a jar.

What you need to know
Yes, it is overabundant and glorious. I love to discover new great products and even the bad ones. Because it helps keep perspective. Meaning, you know when something is good and when it is complete crap and something in between. So, what do you need to know?
- You don’t need to try out this many products.
- There are great products in a variety of price ranges.
- Just because all of the influencers are raving about it doesn’t mean it is good.
- If you see a lot of influencers raving about a product in a small window of time, that is a marketing campaign. It means nothing to the quality of the product.
- You can always find a color dupe, that is not hard. The hard part is quality for a good price. That makes the difference.
- Beauty products are consumables which they will not last forever. Buy it but use it. If you aren’t going to use it you are wasting your money. Products can last a long time if properly valued.
So many beauty products so little time
I have tried a lot more products than what is currently in my Glorious Beauty Wonderland.
Mascaras
This is a picture of my mascaras from back in the day. I have tried many, many more since this time. Remember when Tarte had that huge case on it. It was unique but added nothing to the mascara.

There are alternative mascaras on the market in the drug stores that are just as good as the high end. Do I love some of the high end mascaras? Of course, I do. If you buy them, wear them. Don’t put a high end mascara on the shelve for “special” occasions. Every day of your life is a special occasion. It isn’t going to last forever. Wear it.
Waste not, want not
Same with perfume. Wear it, my friend. Use it up. There is more coming on the market all the time that might top your current obsession. Anything that is a cream, use it. It will not last forever. Powdery beauty products are easier to sanitize for me. You can do it for creams as well. Keep your beauty products clean and lids on tight.
Jobaba oil can be used to bring dried out creams to life. Sometimes they aren’t worth bring back to life. Or a fresh new one may be a better option.
What I have learned from my wonderland of beauty
Oh, where do I start? I have learned so much from ingredients of products. What labs make excellent products and which ones are more likely to use cheaper ingredients. It could be a high quality lab but the brand is cutting the corners. Yes, I read where products are made. If I see a difference, more than likely it wasn’t a good change. It was money related and the product may need to remain on the shelf.
Some brands make some great products for a great price. Some brands are under the radar of influencers but the products are amazing. There are products that are worth a bigger price tag. If you have sensitive skin beware as my skin can tell some ingredients the moment it touches my skin. Reading ingredients is important but even if nothing on the ingredients list states I will have a reaction. I may still have a reaction. Sometimes it just isn’t about the ingredients how is the facility it is made in ran. Just being honest.
Influencers state there are just a few labs that make beauty products. There are a few very large labs that develop and make beauty products. However, there are quite a few smaller factors that will produce those products after the lab develops them. I have one right here in my own small town. There are some big named beauty brands that have their products made here.
Honest opinions
It may also help you to know that I have tried so many products and all of what I write about is my honest opinion. It is the same opinion I would tell my friend, colleagues and sister. As I will be doing a blog post soon on overhyped, over influenced products that are not worth it. Spoiler alert: some are Bobby Brown, Charlotte Tilbury, Tarte and more. I want you to know I have tried them.
Skincare is something near and dear to my heart

Yes, I have a bounty of skincare. Some not even in my wonderland shown above. Niod skincare is a brand I like to explore. More coming on that brand. Prequel is another great skincare brand that I like and will be writing about their products. I like them both and some others as they are science based with research to back them up. Not just studies done by the brands themselves.
Foundations and blushes, oh my
This is certainly not the extend of my foundation collection. If I like a foundation I will have multiple shades as my skin tone changes frequently throughout the year. Yes, I wear sunscreen.

Shown is only one shade of Lancôme, but that doesn’t mean that isn’t one of my absolute favorites. I am currently and trying to use up others. No, you don’t have to have this many. I will post in the future about what you can use to change the tone or hue of your foundation with less expensive products. Even though ELF is a less expensive option. I like options, have I said that? Sometimes I don’t want to wear a higher coverage foundation. Sometimes I want to mix foundations to have a different texture on radiance on my skin. I can see you rolling your eyes, but I know my people are out there too.
Pink Collection
This is just the cream blushes in pink. I have powders as well. These products shown will last a very long time, as Danessa Myricks products are fairly air tight and if you clean the tubes and keep the lids on they are an amazing value for as long as they last. Just gorgeous on the skin. The selection of colors in this brand is impressive.

Along with Rare Beauty blushes – amazing value. The other is beauty pie which is a great alternative to some high end brands. I like them all. Options and more options.
Excessive or extraordinary
Some might call my beauty wonderland, excessive. I call it extraordinary. It is an extraordinary time to live with so many choices. Anyone can choose to wear makeup or use whatever skin care they choose. Everyone should take care of themselves and their skin. So, call it what you will. Diving into the amazing world of beauty is my wonderland.
