Life is a mesmerizing blend of colors, experiences, and emotions, much like a twilight kaleidoscope. As you turn the lens of your existence, different patterns emerge, offering new perspectives and insights. Exploring the world around you, both online and offline, can be a transformative journey that enriches your mental health, enhances your physical well-being, and broadens your horizons. If you are interested in vintage age clothing – YouTube has some interesting more of educational than entertainment videos for you – Victoria and Albert Museum and Historic Royal Places. These are more England based.
If you want more of the gilded age from the popular shows right now (I am also a fan of Julian Fellowes – great screen writer for this historical period. I think I liked Dr Thorne as one of his best. You may or may not agree with me). There is Costume CO. These videos could possibly give you inspiration for your next Dress the Age Party or Halloween. (Yes, I still dress up for Halloween).

Computer Program – On my computer at work – viva insights by Microsoft which has a well-being tab which has a metal break action and a winding down action that you can enable. I find it very useful in my day.
Coloring – There is also coloring (yes, coloring, as many used in school without the internet). It is relaxing and uses different parts of your brain with creativity levels.
I got this one from Amazon with 110 markers and it came with “coloring pages”. The pages are cardboard with a front and back. These are some that I did while helping with my aging mother. It was a stressful time and this did help a great deal.


These pictures were sent to my daughter in text. I never meant them to be for public consumption so I am aware the flash is too bright in some areas. They are certainly not perfect but they were for my mental reload and I enjoyed doing them.

Also skin care isn’t just about beauty treatments, it is about just taking care of you. You are worth it.
Self-Care is about your health as well. It can be health in terms of body health or mental health. All need care at a consistent level to feel your best and have a bright kaleidoscope for your future.
These blog explorers mainly on the topic of self-care. However, that is so important to all, no matter the age. There is so much noise out there on this subject – I try to cut through a lot of it and focus on studies and proven ingredients as well as techniques that work.

Many communities are incorporating walking paths into their community growth plans. I have a new walking path along the canal right-of-ways in my area. Actually, about 4 blocks away and I love it. However, exploring other areas as a new dimension and discovery to your life as well. We can’t always go traveling to new areas but you may find areas that are within an hour or two of your home that you could explore. You may need to schedule these adventures as well as schedule other self care moments.



I don’t live in Oregon, but I live in the Northwest. I am about 4 hours away from Yellowstone National Park and almost 2 hours from Jackson Hole Wyoming. So I do have amazing places to discover. I may bore you later with scenes from Yellowstone and Jackson in the future, we will see. Maybe some more from Northern Idaho – as I do get the opportunity to travel there quite often as well. Next is Las Vegas, baby. Look forward to seeing pictures from the Bellagio Atrium through the years shortly. It is still the summer show right now, it changes to the fall soon (which is one of my favorites). Which season is your favorite?
