I haven’t written many posts about discovering new adventures, let alone with majestic views. Thinking about it, I should be doing it all of the time. Since, I am fortunate to live in the Northwest, not far from some of the most beautiful places. Discovering the world and adventures you probably have seen a dozen or many more times through new eyes is still exciting. Experiencing new places for the first time is even more exhilarating. I have seen some wonderful art of nature. After all, I live not far (relatively) from Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton Park, Jackson Hole Wyoming, and Sun Valley. So, discovering new adventures with the most majestic views is not out of my reach.
Discovering Bend Oregon
I want to take you on some of these adventures from Oregon, Idaho, Colorado, Wyoming, Washington, and Utah. Starting with my most recent to Bend, Oregon. What if you have never heard of Bend Oregon? It was named the second fastest-growing city in America. Not surprising as it is known for great outdoor recreation. It is rumored to have sunshine all year round. This is just a rumor as it has winter and winter isn’t sunny. I have no idea where that idea came from as it has some world-famous ski resorts. As for homeless people, I saw one the whole week.
More discoveries about Bend Oregon
Although I didn’t go up to people and ask if they were homeless. Everyone is very friendly and they have breweries everywhere. Okay, not everywhere but there are a lot of places to enjoy an ice-cold beverage. Many of which are brewed right there in Bend. Try Avid Cider, if you like ciders it is one of my favorites. Also, On tap is nice. Many of these places have food trucks parked outside for your dining experience. Good Food Trucks as well. From Pizza to sushi.
Okay enough about all that let’s get to the discovery of new adventures.
Discovering new Majestic views
Those may not be the majestic views you were hoping for, however, every one of them is beautiful. Looking through new eyes is discovery. You will see more beauty if you look at the small things as well. It is an amazing place to visit. These are all from the famous Smith Rock Park in Bend Oregon. I saw mountain climbers and climbers camps. Wow! That is all I can say for those individuals. To be honest it was a challenge to make it to hike Misery Ridge and River Trail. It is listed as hard and I would agree with that and I did have to stop numerous times. Bring water!
Discovering MonkeyFace and Jet Streams
Sun and Cave
Majestic views from the sun and water
This is probably not the glamour shots you were expecting (these are not the majestic views). I didn’t filter them and it was hot. Very warm on this adventure. Yes, I have tan lines and this picture isn’t flattering at all. Tanning is not an issue for me even with sunscreen, there are going to be lines. It does however show this amazing cave with a skylight. It was a bit creepy that something may live in it. Although it didn’t appear that anyone did at the time.
I feel like it was majestic views all the way around on this trail. Below are a few more, I took so many and I won’t bore you. You need to discover new adventures with majestic views yourself. Even if it is just down the street. Try looking at this from a different angle or at different times of the day. This type of discovery is good for the sole.
