Snack Stadium

The Snack Stadium is here. This display is just for cold snacks because it is flammable. Not to say that you can’t throw BBQ little smokes, pretzel bites, and cheese sauce. That would be perfectly fine. The loaf tins are easy to remove to put in the oven for a warm-up of those delicious finger foods. Warm would be the key to serving on the stadium, not extremely hot.

The two corners of the stadium have platforms for desserts. You could put small crockpots for other hot items if you prefer or a beverage tower. All of those items would go perfectly with this party decor.

Supply list for the Snack Stadium

The snack stadium is inexpensive to make with form boards that you can get at Walmart, a craft store, or an office supply store. I would say that a craft store or Amazon would have more colors if you want to have the colors of the teams or the one you want to win. The supply list is:

  • Foam board, 2 or 3 of these depending on the size of the foam board – mine were 24 X 36
  • Exacto knife or box knife – depending on your skill level
  • Ruler
  • protractor is helpful, but not necessary
  • Aluminum bread loaf tins – 8
  • Hot glue or other glue of your choice, but hot glue does set up nicely
  • Clear packing tape (adds extra strength if you need it)
  • small decorative tape, if wanted to hide edges

Plans

Check out the cutting list and the diagram of fitting it on the poster board

The main plans are designed around regular-sized, aluminum bread loaf tins. After you cut out all of the pieces and before you apply any glue, I would suggest you dry-fit it. Place a small amount of regular transparent tape on the inside corners of the main outside portions of the stadium to make the main structure. That way it will stand up while you fit the dividers and the tins to ensure it all fits together. The reason why you have 2 dividers for each inner portion of the stadium, is that you can make sure the lip of the tins are stable and will hold the food. Make any adjustments that are needed. Mark with a pencil or pen where everything will need to be glued. Then get on it.

Apples with caramel dip, Dip with chips, or other fruit with whipped fruit dip can be served in on loaf tin if you place a tinfoil square in the tin to separate them both.

Food for the stadium

Cold food suggestions, any of the combinations, or your ideas:

  • Chips – big dip corn chips and tortilla chips (for the multi-layer dip in the center of the stadium)
  • Cut apple wedges and caramel dip
  • Strawberries and fruit dip
  • Carrots and/or cucumbers
  • Carrots and hummus
  • Ranch dip
  • Sandwich fixings – onions, olives, jalapenos, tomatoes, lettuce
  • Taco/nacho fixings – onions, olives, shredded cheese, jalapenos, tomatoes, shredded lettuce
  • Brownies and or cookies on the platform
  • A fabulous Queso dip

This menu will leave time for making the multi-layer dip and hot food.

Multi-layer dip “football” field

  • Refried Beans
  • Guacamole
  • sour cream
  • shredded cheddar cheese
  • sliced olives
  • sliced tomatoes
  • salsa
  • pretzel rods
  • honey, karo syrup, molasses

Spread the refried beans evenly as the bottom layer in the baking tin. Spread all of these other layers evenly as well, starting with salsa, sour cream, and guacamole. Arrange the shredded cheese in lines. Put the olives and tomatoes in the “end zones”. Dip the ends of 10 rods in either the honey, karo syrup, or molasses. Put the ends together to make the “goalposts” and place them aside to set up. Right before your guests arrive, place it at the ends of the multi-layer “football” field.

The pretzels take some time to set up so you may want to do them the day before your party.

Hot food

I have a great queso dip recipe linked above, that dip goes great with so many things. In the pictures, on one of the platforms is a panini-type sandwich wrapped in foil. However, just ordering pizza is a good option for spending less time in the kitchen and more time getting ready for the game.

Depending on how much time you decide to spend in the kitchen, I believe your guests with enjoy the Best Menu and Decor for your Super Bowl Party this year!

Enjoy the game!
